Hence, we had to change our school's name as well. Contrary to your belief, the principal of our school actually informed us of this change and assured everyone who was there that our school still maintains its view of an academic institution within an Islamic environment. Moreover, our school still teaches Quranic studies, Islamic Studies, holds Zuhr and Asr prayer, and has an Imam. Im doing VCE and i still attend Islamic Studies classes, even though i am doing no such subject according to my VCE form. Most seem to have a fairly good grasp of life beyond their own small patch and are comfortable relating to others in a secular context as well as (I presume) a religious context.
