OK, this is just too weird. Read about the 'Cocaine Conspiracy'.

Again in mid-1991, certain circles made uneasy by his cultural activities made him the target of a conspiracy. At the time, he was preparing a most important manuscript on the history of Freemasonry and world-wide Masonic organizations. Police, searching the home he shared with his mother in Istanbul's Ortakoy district, discovered a packet of cocaine in the very first book they opened-in a library of some 2,000 books!

Unfortunately, I think his ideas are fairly widespread even if most people wouldn't know the pedigree of them.

Here is an interesting post on his alleged misappropriation of fossil images.

Brother Dawud, Jazak Allah Khair for the information and the link.

You are right, his arguments on matter and mind are hard to follow. Insha'Allah, people will see through his motives, and not to mention his hypocrisy.

Salaam.

gess, I'm not a fan of Harun Yahya (for all the reasons above, apparently he's not one person, but an advocate of the 19'r cult started by Rashid Khalifa), leans on Christian Creationist arguments, and has irrational arguments about matter and mind (not unlike the Matrix and Western and Eastern extreme skeptics, actually) - yet the reason he doesn't publish on Kemalism is it's a subject you can't actually write about in Turkey, or continue to live in Turkey if you do write critically about Ataturk's ideology. A journalist here, not anti-Kemalist, wrote a biography of his first wife, and was slammed heavily for including stories of Mr. Kemal's (not 'kamal' or 'perfect,' mind you, but a Turkified 'kemal') philandering and hypocrisy. I'm probably already violating Article 301, and there are some people who take that very seriously (see Hrant Dink)...

as for the point about Creationism - as Sh. Nuh Keller argued (see www.masud.co.uk ) one can accept the scientific community's description of the material history of the earth and life on it without accepting the idea that material causality lies with matter itself - basic aqeedah is that Allah is the Creator and Fashioner, and the simple indication that plants grow from inanimate soil, minerals and water to produce vegatative life, animals consume that and are organic life without human consciousness, and then the human being comes to consciousness and life - contingent on the soul being breathed into the fetus - by the will of Allah within the womb, thus 'rahm,' as the hadith states, comes from Rahmah...

Eteraz did good job.

I have one question. How come Harun Yahya does not criticize Kemalist ideology, which is brainchild of Fascism and Zionism?
