I've seen a few fashioned up young ladies in their twenties having this wrapped around their necks on cold mornings on the peak train into the city; I doubt they know of its background though. The kaffiyeh is really common amongst the Socialist Party at Uni who wave 'Make Howard History' and 'Long Live the Resistance' placards. It's amusing when you see kippah wearing students from the AUJS walking past the socialists and giving them killer looks. I’ve seen these recently too.
