I'm telling ya. Those Mozzlems and the Left are involved in a huge conspiracy. Buying and selling property and promoting home ownership is just the sort of thing hardened Marxists do before they fly away in their decapitated pigs ...

Darrin Hodges <a href="http://voiceoftheshire.blogspot.com/2007/11/black-jack-pershing-in-camden.html">approves</a>!
<blockquote>
Good on ya mate!, good to see Aussie's taking a stand against the Islamic invasion of Camden.</blockquote>

He's supporting criminality (trespass and possibly more besides).

Correction: I meant that Howard was playing the ant-immigrant card not Rudd.
I still do wonder how many conservative minded Muslims gave Howard a miss even though they might have agreed with other parts of his platform. Again in California Entrepreneurial Hispanics deserted the GOP as did Evangelical Hispanics because of Republican bashing of "illegal immigrants." Did some conservative Muslims hold their nose and vote for Rudd or stay home due to Howard's less inclusive stance?
In Oz and in the USA it always seems that the anti-immigrant party eventually gets its clock cleaned by the more inclusive party.

It's all about the money Lebowski! As long as Muslims have those fistfuls of dough-ray-me they are going to purchase those pretty little housed in Camden.

In the end I see Mr Darrin Hodges' excellent adventure dieing an ugly death against the forces of a fast dollar. Maybe Mr Hodges might be able to resist making a profit by selling out to the unwashed hordes but most locals will not. Sorry guys profit beats culture 999,999,999 times out of a million.

As to the "culture" of Australia being ruined or overrun by the scimitar waving set, one can only shake one's head. Exactly how is a tiny minority going to accomplish that? 200 hundred years or so of history is going down the skids because someone puts up a madrasah in a rural Australian town?

Did I miss something, or didn't you all just have a free, fair, and orderly elections where the party in power was peacefully deposed? None of the major news organizations showed any pictures of the evil mooslim hoards overrunning the hastily constructed barricades of the quickly overwhelmed state. Oh, that was because the Muslim citizens of Australia were too busy participating in the elections just like all the other peoples of your fair land.

It is very tiering to have to put up with fear-mongers like Mr. Hodges. They are never are confused by such inconveniences such as fact. They know what they know, prove them wrong and they still won't believe you. You have to be way out in La-La land to slag one of the worlds premier news gathering outlets--the BBC-- as biased. Auntie makes an absolute fetish of being above-board and unbiased. The beeb double-triple-quadruple checks its facts. The few times it did not; when it tried to break news first, it got mercilessly hammered. The BBC's good name rides on getting the facts straight; it depends on being seen as scrupulously impartial. If one has a problem with the reporting of the BBC the odds are they just told you something you didn't want to hear.

Mr Hodges is locked into a world view which will never accept new data or ideas. He is the heir of the "White Australia" crowd that was shown the showers a few decades back. They are still out there and the agenda remains the same, only the name has been changed to protect the guilty.

Here in California his ilk helped kill off one of the major political parties for at least a generation. Thanks to immigrant bashing in the 1980's and 1990's the Republican party has become an afterthought in the Golden State. Hispanics punished the Republicans for their anti-immigrant fear-mongering by going to the Democratic party en mass. I don't know how much of Rudd's victory was because of blow-back from his anti-Islamic and anti-Immigrant shenanigans but it had to hurt him with some part of the electorate.

In the end I see this brouhaha fading into the obscurity that it richly deserves. The good citizen of Camden will find out that the Muslims are just ordinary folks working a nine-to-five just like them; they will find out that Muslims are fighting the same traffic, have the same bills, and are paying the same mortgage that they are. Pretty soon they will both be complaining to each other about how their kids won't mind their parents and don't know the value of hard work. And when Australia thumps the England team in cricket both Muslims and Non-Muslims will be ridiculously happy about the results.

"Sorry to run against the grain here… but I don’t think the insult-based approach is the most effective. Mocking Darrin’s opinions is appropriate, but personal insults just look petty."

What are you going too do? Seriously, you can't have civil debate with him. He's just a sad little man.

Darrin & others want the government to protect culture. This is not viable. Cultures change over time and are far too fluid and dynamic to be government controlled. The Australian culture today is a far cry from our culture 100 years ago... and the largest changes haven't come from Muslim immigrants. The largest changes have come from improved technology -- especially with regards to communications & transport.

Change is natural in a free society. But change can be scary for some. We need to recognise the fear that people like Darrin have and try to help them put change into perspective so that they don't fall into the trap of hating things/people that are different.
