Some mind altering drug has been placed in the water of Republicans since 2001. They’ve been rendered collectively asinine.
I think it started before then, about the time Pat Robertson declared his quest for evangelicals to take over the party and Karl Rove saw that as an opportunity too great to pass up.
What Schiff had to say was being said two years ago, back in 2006, when Kevin Phillips’ book, American Theocracy, came out.

The problems on Wall St. today make one nostalgic (almost) for the “big” bailouts of yesteryear, like Continental Illinois, back in the mid-80s, when the bailout total was a mere $4.5 billion.
So it looks like all those economic blowhards owe Peter Schiff a big apology.
