Pastor Danny has them rolling in the aisles

Pastor Danny Nalliah (above) has them rolling in the aisles with his traveling exorcism and cripple healing show. Alzheimer’s, blocked arteries, epileptic seizures, brain tumors, and dog bites: no problem is too serious for Pastor Danny’s magic hands.

He might need to lift his game when it comes to political predictions and prophecy (he famously predicted John Howard would win the last election!) and, of course, he’s still not in the same league as Austrolabe’s favourite faith healer but for an outer-suburban Australian effort, Pastor Danny is not too bad.

But Danny doesn’t seem to like Muslims too much. In fact, he even thinks we’re part of the “The Secular Humanistic, Islamic, And Interfaith Attempt To Remove Lord’s Prayer From Australian Parliament”:

We must keep praying in the Holy Spirit with mighty weapons of spiritual warfare that PM Kevin Rudd will not bow to the politically correct pressure exerted from the Secular Humanistic Ideologies of many politicians within the Labor Party and the Greens, in addition to the Islamic and Interfaith alliance, to remove the Lord’s Prayer from the Australian Parliament!

May our Most High God and victorious King increasingly arise and scatter His enemies in America, Australia, and around the World!

He does, however, like Sarah Palin: with a fascinating “prophecy” on the blog in which a pastor describes his encounter with Palin:

It was at this moment Sarah Palin reached out for me to help her up, and as I was assisting her to stand, I was now face-to-face with her, and God said, “Open up your mouth and I will fill it.”

And this is what his mouth was filled with:

“God wants you to know that you are a present-day Esther!”

[She immediately began to cry!]

“God wants to tell you that you are chosen for such a time as this!”

“You are called, and chosen to be a leader.”

“Don’t lose heart and don’t fear man.”

“The news and naysayers and criticizers are going to be very hateful toward you … and in the days ahead they are going to turn up the heat … but do not fear.”

“You are a present-day Esther.” You are an Esther. You are an Esther!

“Keep your eyes on God and know that He has chosen you to reign!”

This part is disturbing:

“May our Most High God and victorious King increasingly arise and scatter His enemies in America, Australia, and around the World”

Is this an oblique incitement to violence?

Muslims are part of the “enemies” that he is talking about.

On the catch the fire ministries website biography of Nalliah he says

“Here he received from the Lord a real love for the Muslim people.”

Its an unusual way of showing love to ask God to “scatter his enemies”.

The “scattering of enemies” line is NOT an incitement to violence. There is a contextual understanding, based on many OT texts/events too numerous to cite in most cases, which is being called upon here.
Christians who are not just pew-warmers know the context and the connections being alluded to.
The “scattering” always refers to God thwarting the plans and schemings of unGodly men. You surely have no probelm with that? I believe many a Mullah and Imam calls for exactly the same thing.
Don’t feed peoples insecurities and prey on their sense of victimhood by spreading false innuendo.

Yes, Muslims are what he is talking about, but he is NOT calling for violence. As a muslim, that must make a pleasant change for you.

In a society like Australia the only thing that would “scatter” Muslims is violence and widespread killing.

The Pastor seems to be referring to the End of Times when, according to other Dispensationalists, Jesus will come and murder all of their enemies — including Jews and Muslims.

Oh well, c’est la vie. In every religion’s lunatic endtime fantasies all the other pagans, non-believers, kuffr and infidels, get wiped out.
